It is the second book from the duo documenting culinary adventures at their townhouse Rosa et Al, following from The Daily Brunch.
This book captures the magic of gathering around the shared table, blending heritage Portuguese gastronomy with global influences, memories of childhood, and the rich bounty of mountain and sea produce.Rooted in a lifelong appreciation for communal eating, the book explores how food acts as a ritual of socialization. “We come from a family that is very around the table,” says Emanuel de Sousa. “Everyone has dinner together, and there is a time for dinner.”
What began as a domestic tradition soon blossomed into a living culinary salon welcoming travelers and locals. Opening their doors to create a space for genuine human connection, “the supper clubs became like an extension of our house for friends, recollecting the memories of our own travels in the years before.”
Publisher Francois Lebled says: “In The Supper Club, readers are invited back to the de Sousa siblings’ unique kitchen, showcased through atmospheric photography and recipes designed for home cooking.” The volume honors seasonal ingredients, pairing the rugged terroir of Portugal's interior with the fresh catches of the Atlantic.
