Mellow
Mellow is an invitation to pause and reconsider the visual texture of a standard day. Norwegian photographer Sofie Sund navigates the thin line between the ordinary and the extraordinary, using her lens to immortalize the scenes and shapes that most people pass without a second glance. It is a work that prioritizes the placid and the simple, stripping away the noise of modern life to reveal a core of playful tranquility. By focusing on the delicate essence of normality, the volume serves as a gentle reminder that beauty is not always found in the grand or the dramatic, but often in the soft glow of a childhood memory or the curve of a household object.
A curated journey through Sofie’s creative universe, organized around her ongoing fascination with light and color combinations. The narrative is built from carefully constructed still-life images that capture what she perceives as the normality of existence. Through her signature style—simple in approach yet rich in texture—the book moves through scenes that evoke a sense of nostalgic warmth. The project highlights the intersection of the purely aesthetic and the deeply personal. Whether she is documenting the vibrant interplay of shadows or the tactile quality of a specific material, Sofie’s work cuts through traditional photographic tropes with a refreshing sense of ease. Presented on high-quality matte paper, the book offers a sanctuary for the senses, inviting the reader to find magic in the fragments of daily life that ultimately piece together our collective reality.
Sofie Sund is a Norwegian-based artist who treats photography as a primary form of emotional expression. Her practice is deeply rooted in an appreciation for the shapes, colors, and textures that define her immediate surroundings. Sund’s work has been recognized by prestigious institutions, having exhibited at Norway's National Museum of Photography (Preus Museum), Uncertain States Scandinavia, and Ikono. Sund’s skill lies in making us look beyond the familiar and functional to the beauty that lies all around us, if we pause to look properly. “It's easy to miss them if you don't think about it,” she says, “but we have to find happiness and beauty in everyday life”.

Artist Review: Guillaume Sardin
Guillaume Sardin occupies an artistic space of wonder that is at once disciplined and childlike. A space where the warmth of a human hand overrides digital perfection, and the characteristic whimsy of his “narrative drawings” belie the deep skill that goes into the studied relaxedness of every line.
