Laurent is a French photographer and creative director celebrated for his minimalist yet intensely focused work. He has been commissioned by many international luxury brands as well as shooting his own fine art photography with a highly distinctive style.

Typically shooting with his camera on his shoulder, Laurent likes to feel the pulse of his subjects by being as close as possible in his framing, yielding an intimate relationship with his subject. Close proximity with his models, capturing details in macro portraiture like the grain of skin, the reflection of light on a lip, or the shape of a single eyelash has shaped his photographic style and become his trademark.

His first book “Reverie” is sold all over the world and his second book, “Solaris-A” is slated for publication in April 2025.

Solaris-A pays homage to sunlight, blurring the boundaries between reality and the fantastical and resonating with his own troubled relationship with space. Motionless journeys, macro photography, and an examination of sunlight and texture all reflect his unique – sometimes uncomfortable – perspective on proximity, and the unforeseen beauty of close-up to the point of abstraction.

Laurent considers this body of work to be revelatory and informed by his agoraphobia. As an agoraphobic, to go out is to suffer and one is constantly confronted with oneself. Laurent has turned his struggle into a strength and turns his lens onto the suffering implicit in distance and space.
